Finished 4th in the Premiership, equal on points with Everton but with a +4 better goal difference, so Stoke City's first ever taste of European Football will be the Champions' Cup...from 4th place
We exited the League Cup in the 4th round, Everton 1-0 victors, and the FA Cup in round 6, Leicester seeing to our chances 3-1.
I may have a backroom staff reshuffle this close season...most of them are coming to the end of their contracts.
Er Ian... Stoke are unbeaten in Europe. They played twice in the UEFA Cup in the early 1970s, losing to Ajax and Kaiserslautern on away goals both times.
Jesus! They throw money at you as if it's going out of fashion in the EPL and the Champions' Cup.
EPL, we finished 4th again, qualifying for the Champions' Cup...in which we qualified for the first knockout stage, being beaten by Milan, winning 3-1 at home, losing 3-0 away.
One for Simon...we won the FA Cup!!! (League Cup best not spoken about).
We've used some of the money to buy a Spanish/Basque SC for £7.5m ( ) and picked up a Scottish AMC on a free from Monaco (don't ask...he'd been there for his entire career thus far).
I'll definitely give it another season to see if I can win the EPL for Simon, and hopefully get further in the Champions' Cup.
