Season 2039/2040
The Board expected:
To enjoy playing in
League 2 by the end of the three year plan.
To play in the 1st round of the FA Cup.
To play in the Final of the Santa Claus Shield.
To play in the final of the FA Trophy.
To
be promoted from the Conference National (BSP).
We were promoted, but at the expense of the finals expected, to the disappointment of the board, but I think promotion saved me.
I don't usually do finances, but I think this is interesting.
Total expenditure was £8.3m, total income was £7.3m, leaving (as I see it) a total shortfall of £1m, plus the £227k debt of last season...around a £1.2m debt since last season,
if the board didn't inject £100k almost every time we reached £400k in the red.
They did that a total of four times last season, so now we have a debt of £800k...the board are displeased at
my financial management...even though I sold players to the value of £700k
I think this season coming is going to be a belter...with a certain Scottish loser
BTW, Ewood Park's capacity has been cut to 22556 but it
still costs £900k a year for its upkeep.
