First season ever in the Football League next season for The Reds.
I'm not going to pretend I'm a LLM so don't jump on me for that, but just to be pedantic as I was reading this and nobody else seems to have put you right: Workington have quite a history in the Football League.
Pretty sure this holds all the answers Nobby, as a non-league fan myself I know quite a few Wukky fans and none have ever mentioned anything like you've described and neither does good old Wikipedia.
# Best Season in Football League - 1965/66 (5th in Third Division)
# Promotion From Division Four - 1964 (3rd Place)
# Football League Cup Quarter Finals - 1964, 1965
# Best Season in FA Cup - 1933/34 (4th Round Proper)
There's had to be a major reshuffle in the Staff Roster, guys have been leaving arse over tit, and we've lost a few regular first team squadders through that lovely Jean-Marc Bosman's ruling.
Oh...remember that FC who scored for fun and left for Fulham for £2.1m? We bought him back for £2.9m, let's hope he hasn't forgotten how to score in his time out on loan to four different clubs from Fulham.

That's "quite a history", indeed </BLOCKQUOTE>
It's better than nothing
I'll leave you all to it now and stop my interloping
