Default secondary nationality
A few questions about the secondary nationality option for your manager and can see that it allows you to search players from that country but i have a few more questions
If you select that country as one of the 3 active leagues does that increase the base of players you can search through?
Is it worth selecting a south american country for this (in my experience they produce more wonderkid type things, at least in older versions of FM, i'm using 07)

Having a country as one of the 3 active leagues will increase the number of players that you cans earch through from that nation.
