Hi guys, just finished a season in the Blue Square Premier with Rushden and Diamond. I finished 8th. Anybody have any player reccomendations for a promotion push next season? By the way I have absolutely no money so free players on small contracts would be lovely !!

i would reduce your transfer budget and increase your wages.
Then see who is available on a free,id scout the prem and championship leagues for bargain buys,some young lads just want to play football and not sit it in the reserves.

My suggestion is to do a search for a specific type of player that you can then have similar players in your squad that play his way...example...I always look for free fast guys...lets face it, speed kills and yes the players need skill, but maybe you could just sign free players who are fast and come up with a team model based on speed. That is what i did. It worked for a while until the club wanted big name players. Hope this helps.

I found playing 4-3-3 attacking formation with 3 defensive minded mmidfielders in the center worked. also dont sell many players and get lots of loanees in.

Using this method i won the league first season with Forest Green Rovers.

Players i got in were (on loan)

Kirean McKenna (Tottenham)
Wayne Brown (Fulham)
Leigh Mills (Tottenham) - Must Have Quallity

Try Keigan Parker from Blackpool. You can get him after first season and he'll score in that league no problem. He was the signing of the season for me in the Scottish 1st Div
