I got to the year 2021 was really enjoying playin the game again & then the game crashed.

It refuses to go past 19 June 2021, I even tried reinstalling the game. I even reloaded my backup saved game and went on holiday for 5 months, the game still crashed.

I think thats me done for FM 08, I have been playin this save game since November when I got the game.

did u use any in game editors or changed any inthe game during the time playing the save?

didnt u have an back up file?

I loaded the backup file and played it, only prob was last time I backed up was January 2021. So I went on hols for 5 months until end of season and tried to play past 19 June, same result FM 'lost contact' with windows and crashed.

Am gutted, its like I have lost a loved one...

i always have a rolling save with 1 months intervalls.thismeans i got 4 saves of the game.

i also save and make a separate save file at end of each seson.

so my gamefilel looks like this

cesena
cesena1
cesena2
cesena3
cesena2007
cesena2008
cesena2009
cesena2010
and so on

mayby u should have done the same

i had this problem too, on fm07. one of my best games crashed in january 2010, exactlly like you described it. i don't know what you should do... now, i save my game, let's say once at two seasons, on a cd.

It seems like the database has become corrupted somehow. Dunno how but anyway its f***ed now so will either have to bite the bullet and start again or wait for fm09.
