Not really. You have to remember that we are discussing an integral part of the game mechanics. SI probably would not want to confirm/deny the existing or future system due to the commercial nature of the game and code involved.

Basically - there's no point in giving the competitors a free look into the mechanics of the game.

Been away from this forum trying out FML and stuff.

But to clarify, no it wasn't everything on max. The game wasn't being run for the purposes of testing, it was just the game I was playing.

HOWEVER I'll guarantee you it is completely statistically significant as I was running:
Largest Database
50+ Leagues from ALL the major, and semi-major, nations (Eng, Italy, Braz, Spain, Arg, France, Germ, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Russia, etc).
All PLAYABLE.

The thing is people can look for all the loopholes they want, this stuff is plain to see. And it always has been. You don't even need something like Genie Scout to know there's a significant problem as it's pretty evident for anyone whose been playing the game every year for over a decade. I quite simply defy anyone to run any thorough test on it they like and get results right near the original database.

I think the biggest hope of this getting sorted (and many other issues) is probably FM Live, simply because the code should always be evolving.

With regular FM even if they got sorted in a patch (and they never do, and are rarely significant improved) it would be back to square one when the next version is out.

Does anyone find that the strange 20-year-old regens (those that pop out at 19 or 20, not the usual 15 or 16) are pretty good?

I've a few really good ones in my game, and I only "found" them at about 24, so they haven't been specially developed by me.

What database size was OP using? I think that has a strong impact.

Obviously, IRL, the database size is massive, infinite, whereas even a large db ingame, with a few leagues running, is tiny in comparison.

Why don't SI ever speak up about this problem?

So why would they give a crap. SI isn't an EA type size of a company there a small business in this gaming industry. They may feel it better to grab your attention and release new features rather work on things they may not feel affect the game as much. Its sad that nothing has happened on this issue but thats business.
the only thing they have been updating lately is :
-matchengine
players in big clubs in england and given them -loads of ppms nad huge CA/PA
-updated transfer to the aboveclubs so when u start a game in summer 2007 the transfers from januari 2008 are already in game if u wanna play latest patches
-a sucky new graphic and some more buttons that no one ever use

Maybe they are busy testing out the alpha versions of FM09, and feel it is a better use of their time to get this right as opposed to commenting on a thread full of people ranting at them in occasionally immoderate terms about a game which is already finished?
