Torquay United VS Farsley Celtic Match Report (HT : 0-1 FT 0-1 )
Quote:
Farsley Celtic eased their relegation fears with a superb 1-0 victory over Torquay United on Saturday afternoon.
The only goal of the game came in rather fortunate circumstances on 16 minutes.
Gulls goalkeeper Simon Raynor fumbled the ball over his own goalline to hand the visitors the lead.
The home side were visibly shaken by what had happened and as a result failed to take any of their chances on goal, with Chris Zebroski coming the closet to scoring.
But late on the home side nearly snatched a point when Chris Robertson headed just over the bar from close range.
The victory moves Farsley three points clear of the relegation zone, while Torquay still occupy second spot.
Torquay, that was dreadful. There are around half a dozen Torquay Players not risking to go into a tackle just incase they get injured for Wembley.
Well done to Celtic today. There wasn't really much to talk about, except for the lack of fans and atmosphere.

Match Report - Torquay United VS Oxford United
Quote:
Torquay 3-2 Oxford Utd
Torquay United strengthened their promotion credentials after coming out on top in a five-goal thriller at Plainmoor on Tuesday evening.
The visitors got off to the best possible start when Craig McAllister raced onto a Matthew Green through ball and placed his left-footed effort in the bottom-left corner.
The Gulls drew level in the 40th minute thanks to Chris Zebroski's 12-yard finish and the frontman was on target again in the 77th minute, this time with a 12-yard shot into the bottom-right corner.
Oxford were still reeling from that goal when the referee awarded Torquay a penalty for Michael Howard's handball in the area.
Tim Sills calmly slotted home the resulting spot kick to give his side a two-goal cushion with ten minute left on the clock.
Oxford were awarded a penalty at the other end of the pitch just six minutes later when Torquay's Chris Robertson fouled Justin Richards and Adam Murray made no mistake with the resulting spot kick.
However, it turned out to be nothing more than a consolation as the home side held on to collect the three points.
Went to this game. Poor First half with only the one goal, but it was a very good goal - Last night was the best i have seen Torquay play as a team. Paul Buckle was in the stands, don't know why.
There wasn't really an atmosphere the first half as, yet again there were very small numbers for a Tuesday evening kick-off.
