I'm just genuinely interested to know what Arsenal fans think of Wenger right now. Personally I would rate him as one of the best managers in the world, not above SAF obviously because i'm a United fan, but considering what he's given Arsenal while spending about as much as a relegation battling team i'd say he's pretty talented.

However, I'm reading more and more criticisms of him, mainly due to the small size of the squad and lack of experience etc. I've become used to Arsenal fans saying that United are only a better team because they've spent so much more over the years. And let's be honest, it's true. But Arsenal are not short on money so why is Wenger not spending? So anyway we all know Wenger will spend wisely in the summer, so here are my questions:

Will and should Wenger spend big for once?

Do you think he avoids spending big because of large transfer "failures" in the past?

If he doesn't stop buying unknowns with a technical talent, do people actually want someone else?

Genuinely interested in your thoughts?

I think he should bring in some more First XI English players because I only know one and that is Theo Walcott. Plus some English reserves. Therefore Wenger isn't that good of a manager in my eyes.

He should let loose and buy an English player that is worth at lot and it maybe a failure but... he's English.
By the way I support United. Not Arsenal!

i dont support arsenal but in my eyes he's an arsenal hero he has got quality players for nothing and has made more money than he spent. also his team is young and the best is still to come!

True but he still has to look out for good British players.

but in fairness it is his job to buy players who he thinks will win trophys.
it should be about their quality not nationality and the type of football arsenal play is not suited to the type english players play although rarely you get a quality english player like theo walcott who can play arsenals type of football.
