Hi Im still waitng for my game to be delivered and been reading most f your posts. Just a few quick question. Do managers get paid? and can you build up a nice retirment fund? for example do you sign contracts and if fired recieve a large sum of money)

Nope, the financial model for managers is purely contractual. It's not like fifa manager where you can save your cash and buy a house, Thai bride etc...

I'm quite glad to be honest, I think it would ruin the game

Pretty irrelevant, but yes, you get a wage. Your info page tells you of your total career earnings.

Managers do get paid and now (new from FM07 that I only noticed the other day) you get a running total of how much you have earned in your career. It is totally cosmetic though and I dunno if you get a pay-off for getting sacked or not - I haven't been sacked in FM08 yet.
