Players get removed from the game so if it makes you feel better, you can assume they're dead.


Why would you want to die yourself? Instead of dying, why not just quit the game after you reach 90 and you can pretend to yourself that you've died.

There's no need to incorporate death. All AI players and managers retire at some point. The only person killing the realism is you by playing on to a ridiculous age.

I would, however, prefer to see boardroom members also retiring because as things stand, the likes of Malcolm Glazer stay in the game at a crazy age.

I had an obscure memory error in 2038 which could only be (bizzarely) solved by retiring the current manager (who 'died' aged 64).

His 'son', Nick Hamill Jr. is still going strong, and is now 57.

I don't think it was an intended feature of the game though.
