Started playing with the new patch and so far one player has stood head and shoulders above everyone, and it's Wayne Rooney...
I'm upto boxing day in the first season and so far Rooney has scored 21 goals, 7 assists and 7 MoM in 18 league appearances, with an average rating of 7.89. 2 goals in 2 cup appearances with an average rating of 7.50
When I was still on 801, after Neville and Giggs retired in the same season, I named Rooney captain.
He went on to have a blinder of a season, leading the EPL, CL, FA, LC scoring charts, benging them in almost for fun.
Ended up with either 50 in 49 games, or something around like that. was one more goal then games played.
Playing in the following season, he isnt as prollific in front of goal, but he has been out injured a few times, but he has still been leading from the front!
I started using 802 at the start of the current season.
He's had more goals than games in mine too... I think this is a problem. He's a really good player and he makes United tick but he does not score too many goals. I wish there was a way to reflect this.

i wish this too. lets take kuyt. there's no doubting that in theory he's a good player. he has some good stats. but in real life he doesn't score that much.
in fm he does.
Perhaps its more a problem with the players themselves rather than football manager then!!!! We should get them to watch themselves on Football Manager and learn from it!
