I have been many different clubs on FM08 and there hasn't been one approach to takeover that club.

I also haven't heard in the news of any clubs being taken over.

So what I am asking is has anyone been taken over on fm? What happened as a result of this eg sacked, training facilities upgraded, lots of money, new stadium, debt cancelled etc

Please could you tell us the story of it and provide any screenshots if possible as i haven't seen a takeover on fm08 yet.

Celtic is prone to takeovers when you start a new game.

Leeds have been taken over many times on my games to be fair, but yes you are right I don't notice them as much as I did on FM07.

I've never noticed this either, but i tend to be the manage the same teams when i start a new game. I just hope someone takes over my Hartlepool side, as i need some sort of investment.

i started a game with west ham and got them in a bit of debt but was doing v.well in the league and they got taken over by a billionaire or entroprenear (sp) or something but he didnt give me much money to spend and then he withdrew his financial support after 1 1/2 seasons

Leeds were involved in a takeover when I was managing them. (5th year) Ending up getting sacked with the new takeover even though I was in 1st place in the Championship.
