2. Extract your skin to the following location [using EITHER the built in Windows extractor or WinZIP/WinRAR]
CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2005\data\skins\
Please note that some skins require you to extract font files and/or additional graphics to your main fm directory.
EXTRACTION GUIDELINES:
To extract a .zip file with the built in windows extractor [XP only!] double click the file you downloaded, look in the left side panel and find "extract all files to directory" and enter the path i gave you above - find the readme file in the directory you extracted the .zip file to - find your instructions from there.
WINZIP / RAR EXTRACTION GUIDELINES:
Open the file in winzip/rar and choose extract.
Find the path i gave you earlier, and click ok.
Now open the directory to which you extracted your file and locate the read me file for further instructions.
This should be idiot-proof, but should you encounter problems don't hesitate to post a new topic in the forums, but PLEASE ensure that you've followed this FAQ thoroughly before doing so.
*could a mod please sticky this? - im sick of seeing topics about this, tbh...* - not dissing anyone, its just really tiring to have to type this over and over and over!

Go into start, click run - a box should appear on your screen.
In this box, simply copy and paste the path and click ok.
Please bear in mind that your drive letter [in this and my instance C: could be different. to find your drive letter if this fails, go into my computer]
you shouldn't need to back up any files.
hope this helps

Rather than sticky this It might be a good idea to add it to the thread Volkens opened yesterday that has already been stickied. Create one good FAQ rather than several.
