i actually released every player on a free, but the game wouldn't load after selecting the leagues required when starting a new game. Don't know why.

What technique are you using for releasing the players, joesyboyuk? I take it you are testing the game every time you are adding a league.

I still have the data file, but don't use for obvious reasons.

I remember this patch on the old CM games. Was awesome.

There was also another one that I used to enjoy which was the players at random teams, so you can get Zidane at Crewe, Ronaldo at Empoli etc.

Sorry for the delay guys, having some problems :thdn:...

As mentioned by a previous poster, the game seems to experience errors when starting a new game, ie it crashes back to desktop .

However, this only happens when certain teams have their players released. I have the game running perfectly with all players from England and Scotland released, but if certain teams from Italy, Spain, France, Holland, etc are released it's impossible to start to new game ...?

This is only an issue if these leagues are selected as active, so I've been able to release all players from the top divisions of 12 major nations and load up just the English leagues and the game runs fine, although Chelsea snap up a lot of players !!

So, I'm looking for your suggestions. Would you be happy only loading the English Prem, or, as kevinhinnells has suggested, for the iLeague update to be used as the basis? As with the iLeague update, only the English leagues would be loaded, allowing other nations to have their players released, but these division would host the biggest clubs in Europe, and therefore other nations wouldn't be needed anyway....

It's your call.

If you're trying to create a game that has everyone as a free transfer then can I recommend Macromaker running in conjunction with the FM 2005 Data Editor?

I'll be more than happy to run a macro which does this and then upload it for someone ot host on their own website.

The downshot of doing this macro is that not only players are free transferred but non-players as well. So every club will have a clean slate!

Right. I've kicked it off. I've run the tests and it works. Every country in the world now has no manager and soon every player and staff member will be jobless!
