In Data Editor 1.0.2 there is a strange bug I would like to find a solution to.

This is when you add a future transfer for a player, with the "Salary" field set to a given value (other than the default 0) and the "Transfer fee" field LEFT to 0.

In the game (on the Future transfers IN/OUT screen) you can see that the transfer fee is EQUAL TO the Salary field you entered earlier in the editor (UNLESS "Transfer" in NOT 0).

For example, say I know Igor Biscan transfers to Panathinaikos at the end of the season ON A FREE, and gets paid 1,3m Euros. When I launch the game I see that Biscan's TRANSFER FEE is 1,3m as well!

Any ways to overcome this?

Make the transfer fee £1, instead of 0?

Perhaps try using an EDT file.
