need help!

i didnt know wat topic this would be under but this is appropriate i think. anyway when i download any update it will download i get the update on the game etc, when i then try 2 load up my football manager 2005, it tells me the disk is not in the cd drive this is always happening some please help!!!!!!!

try cleaning your disk, this usually works for me

Ok, let me get this right. You don't actually own the game. It's your mates. Not only that but you also can't get it to work. On top of that, you have a crack which is supposed to let you play the game without the crack.

And to top it off, you come to SI's forum and ask for help to get it to work??? Have you lost your mind? It's like some guy mugging you, only to return two days later to ask for the pin number on your card.

Let me go through this slowly. And we'll read through the nice bold sentence at the top of the Editors Hideaway shall we?

ANY USERS REQUESTING A NO-CD CRACK OR ADMITTING TO USING ONE WILL BE BANNED!

To put it bluntly, you just admitted to using a crack. Do us all a favour and buy a copy of the game for gods sake. These guys drip blood and sweat to get this game out to the market and people like you steal it by using these cracks. It's people like you that give me second thoughts about going into software engineering.

And about the sweat thing... My manual really does smell like some large unclean bloke has rubbed it under his armpits.

haha that was one of the funniest posts ive read on here for a while dan. If dan offers to lend you FM manual please say no for your own health :p and as for you tour mitheer, i guess we wont be seeing you on here for a while when the mods read this thread so bye bye

No, I have, but it's just that moderation in this forum is... Well... Lax to say the least.

I could spout out links to warez sites for the next fifty days and no admins would even know about it!

I remember a discussion about the moderation of this place a few months back now, I hoped something would get done about it but it seems it was not to be. Hope something gets sorted out soon though.
