That won't work.
If you want to give yourself money, you will have to use an save game editor such as FMM to edit your bank balance. The trick is to do this AFTER you have responded to the board's expectations - win the league, promotion/europe contenders, mid-table finish etc.
If you try and amend the balance before this, you will lose all your changes as your available funds are based on your answer to the board. This is probably the issue you are currently having?
