I set my CB's to Man marking (opposition strikers) and tight marking in my tactics screen so you would think I would not have to do it in the Pre-game instructions. I have done both and my CB's are still getting roasted like a glamour model at Carlton Cole's house.
Why does this happen? Please don't be smug and say it is about the quality of players because my CB's whoever the opposition aren't doing it. Using Woodgate & Huth.
Has anyone found the tactics and Pre-Game instructions contradictory or problematic?
Player instructions will over-ride team tactic instructions but it is better not to man mark with your DCs because a clever striker will pull them all over the pitch- set your DCs to zone mark but click on tight as well and they shouldnt be out of position.
