hi guys, i had recently just start playing FM07, and are using man utd

but i find that this year its become harder and harder

the above 2 is the tactic i use for home and away, and i am reading wwfan guide of Tactical Theorems and Frameworks '07, folowing his rule of 2 mostly

but after 9 matches played, i lost 5 of them

in the EPL, i am lying on 19th place, with 5 lost,1 win 1 draw

results so far


can anyone mind to help ?

I use a 4132 tatctic, been using it since the (in)famous DIablo tactic in CM4...

Anyway, I find that this tactic works really well for Utd both home and away, you just need to play a more attacking style with it and have a CM that can really play.

I sold O'Shea, Silverste, Fletcher, Saha. Play Rooney in the CM position which also has a free role, closing down, long shots, etc etc etc.

If Rooney's out then I revert back to a normal 442 or 442 attacking.

I don't know if this is going to help. FM07 is not like any other previous version. It's hard, I have fine that you have to alter your tactic every game. You can not win anything for long with one tactic without altering it. I've played for nearly a week now and I think I've become bald due to the frustration.
I felt that the 442 is perfect tactic to approached it and you have to counter what the AI is playing, who is the danger man. How you set up your defensive set play and offence. Which area of the pitch you should attack.

It's really good to get your scout to scout the opposition reasoned by he will give you their team structure, the danger man, and the formation. Used your resources wisely and you will conquer it.

I hope this help. So remember try to alter your tactic according to the opposition.

actually i had change my tactic for a few games already.

the 1st 3 match i was playing 4-5-1 tactic, with rooney alone up in front.
but after 3 lousy results (does not includes friendlies), i change to 4-4-2, and get a win against Liverpool ( which i really don't why i can suddenly win it, but apparently after the win against Liverpool, i start losing in EPL again (i do win against crap teams in the CL group match though)
the draw i get is Watford which is the last team in primiership, i am on 19th place btw

besides, i do scout the opposition every match before the game, but i don't really know how to conquer them

oh besides, since this is my 1st game, i decided to cheat abit, and playing with the editor.
therefore my team have torres, fabreagas, messi, akinfeev, felipe (from udinese) and kompany.

my main formation is like this :

GK akinfeev
DR neville
DL evra
DC ferdinand
DC kompany or felipe
MC(defensive minded) carrick/ fabreagas
MR ronaldo
ML giggs
MC (attacking minded) messi
SC torres
SC rooney

is it because a major team change had lead to suckx results?

besides, i admit using editor is cheating, but i tried to enjoy the game in my way, but i failed

when the demo is out, i try playing as man utd, without cheating , and i goes 10 match losing streak in the league :S

that time i din read up much in this tactic forum, and the formation and tactic is even suckier than now though
