Making a tactic which only needs to be tweaked game to game
to start off with i haven't had much time to test the Fm 2007 waters but this is what i've seen so far.
Mentality
I found if you want a single mentality for the hole team you have to have it between 6-10 anything more or less and you start to concede a lot of goals.
Closing Down
This is one of the only player instructions i change from game to game. To me it all depends on what formation your using and what formation the opposition is using. .eg. against a 433 (one forward and two attacking wide men) i tell my fullbacks to close dwon a lot more to prevent the two wide men from getting behind them. i think when it comes to closing down there is no one way, just look at your system look at there system and see where the danager men are and where there tactical strengths are. Warniing if your playing a 442 dont tell both your central midfielders to close down a lot have on high and one low, same with center backs.
Player Instructions
Now this is one of the new parts of the game i haven't spent much time on, but one thing i have found is put hard tackling on any player that has low bravery, you will get most of the 50/50 balls in that area of the pitch.
bits and pieces
This is just some other random things that i've tested. If you want your fullbacks to stay back put forward runs on rarely and also turn cross ball to rarely, I found that with cross ball on mixed or often they still joined in on the attacks. Another this is be very carful about what you say during team talks unlike the previous game you cant just say the same thing game in game out, if they played crap tell them a good kick up the ass can turn a game around but also praise players that deserve it and your morale and on field performances should not be effected in a negative way.
Thats all for now thanks for reading

You can play very attacking football and conceed few goals aswell.

The main attributes for this to be successful is tackling obviously, decisions and a few others too. Its not as simple as saying 'low bravery guaranteed 50% of the ball atleast with hard tackling'
I wouldn't use hard tackling unless the player can handle it, if you do use it on a weak player you give away more freekicks, get more cards and you might find its a hinderance for your team because of this.

Im just going by what i've found when you play one mentality, but im sure other people have found success doing it completely different
