It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

I think what most of us are trying to figure out are the general relationships between the silders first, the individual instructions are fairly straightforward once you understand the big pix

I've gone back to my FM06 way of playing with all the team on the same mentality and it does appear to be better, so far.

When I try to play with equal mentalities all round, I find myself getting caught out defensively a lot.

I don't know how to keep clean sheets at all

Well taken onbaord some ideas and the D-line is set sdame as def mentality and team width and tempo set to same. CF & team mentality are similair.

Midfield almost have same metality and setting.the wingers still farrow and free roles. Lone striker is doing well and responds to "have faith in ability" at half time and scores a goal every time. Just cvant seem to score more than 2 lol

will most more stats tomo. Passing complete down to 65% tacling sucess 85% !! 36% crosses complete.

Wanted to play a Xmas tree formation with Liverpool and have been forced to scrap the idea because of it.
I've had decent success so far both making these passes and preventing the opposition from being too effective doing it agianst me by playing rather deep, defensive and narrow (one notch up above deep/narrow). CF: Notch below "much".
I'm experimenting with a pretty straight forward 532.

I've found playing with alot of width can be very effective particularly if you play with wingers. I play a 4 5 1 with liverpool with my wingers quite advanced.

My results were quite mixed until a changed my width setting to full and closing down to 3 notches off full and I starting playing very well dominating possesion and winning.

Wingers seem to be very effective on this version gettin in behind full backs if you have mids with good passing they can be found quite regularly.

Interesting that, I would have thought playing relatively deep would be the complete wrong thing to do. Hmmm.

It's still very much WIP but I must say it looks rather promising . Will report back after some more testing.

At the moment I am playing as Liverpool and i'm playing 4 at the back, 2 DM's 1 MC with a farrow AML & AMR with farrows and an SC.

Our attacking game is really good and we score a fair few goals. Trouble is, most of my results are ending 3-3 or 3-2 to me or 3-2 to the opposition. I can be 2 goals down after just 8 mins in some games, then pull it back and win the game 3-2.

I've even tried lowering the DLine to something like 3 in some matches and yet there are still balls being played over the top..... strange
