Care to elaborate on your conclusion

I feel strongly back three's more importantly 3-5-2 can be just as strong as the beloved 4-4-2.

Well rather than go into detail can anyone think of 1 team that has won the Premiership IRL playing 3 at the back?

    First of all - hello!
I've been reading on these fora for years now, and it's been a pleasure!

Now I feel like I have to give something back to all of those who have been contrubuting to the forum - i.e. rashid1 who I owe a lot for the incredible Scramjet tactic

I'm also experimenting with those "spectacular" tactics, that so many seems to be experimenting with in FM07 - the ones with 1 or 2 centrebacks, and I've tried quite a few different tactics.

I started out playing a W-M tactic, but for me, the defence seems too inconsistent. I let in too many goals by getting outplayed in the middle - and especially "killer balls" trough the middle seemed to be the tactics kryptonite.
I tried quite a few different combinations to prevent letting those goals in. I tried anything from a very deep defensive line to a defensive line pushed way up, different combinations of CD and mentality etc.

The combination i found most succesful was a very deep defensive line, low mentality and low closing down for the dc's and then, quite surprisingly mentality and closing down settings of 0 for the dmc.

Right now I'm working on a similar system to yours, rashid1, with a sweeper, 2 cb's and a dmc. Doing fairly well for now - will report back later!

I don't like back 3 formations as defensively its too much hard work for players get get in correct positions on the pitch.

For example a 3 man defence has to become a 4 man defence during a game hoever u set ur formation up so its just more complicated for players.

I would like to test out or try Scramjet or a W-M tactic of someone's if I may? Attempted my own W-M but like NozEE I was conceding too many and I'm liking the sound of this Scramjet lark
