It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Awhec:

Firstly turn all long shots to rarely

Keep your passing and tempo around 6ish and width around 15+

This is my tactic after a few changes:

Im still undecided on the farrow for AMC, but Ill keep it like this for now, so long as results are coming.

The start of the season is looking good anyway, scoring a fair amount of goals and still conceding few

Great start Benoit i see you implemented a few of my suggested tweaks

I see you also employ the morale strategy, literally play sh*te teams in friendlies to raise morale, that has always been my secret of succes.

I also played Bristal Manor Farm in one my friendlies and i also always play Northampton Spencer because my brother plays for them IRL.

Has anybody been using the individual instructions on opposition players? Like getting your midfield hard man to pay special attention to the oppositions playmaker?

I think a couple of guys have mentioned that it works, someone even said it worked brilliantly. I'm quoting one of the beta testers. They do say its best used sparingly. I personally haven't really tested it out. I tried it in one game...where I asked my players to keep a winger on his weaker foot. But I hardly noticed anything different. But the closing down on the hitman I was warned about in the report seemed to work.

It appears that when you issue the Opposition Instructions, its the player closest to the targetted player who performs the action.

Hmm.

Had great success with a 4-4-2 Diamond at Brighton (Finished second by the end of the demo, played some lovely football too), and thought I'd developed a tactic I can do well with.

Tried it with Spurs, Ross County and Crawley and the results (friendlies mainly) have been less than encouraging.

Gah, back to the drawing board.

ds firstly well done with Brighton your downfall could be due to morale, training, team not suited to tactic,

Keep plugging in,what sort of tactic is it?

4-4-2 Diamond - Direct passing, Counter Attack, Targetman (Alex Revell). Playing quite wide and quick tempo as well.

Sounds nice

I am just in the experiment stage i might try a hand at creating a picture perfect 4-4-2.

One thing i have found on this game and this tip is golden IME,keep it simple.

Too many tweaks and your heading for danger, focus on your teams strengths and exploit them.
