It's going ok. I managed a wonderful succession of 0-0 draws with Palermo, followed by a splendid 1-0 where I killed the first half, grabbed the winner at the start of the second and then wasted the rest of the match. 1-4-1-3-1 is the way forward. Lovely attacking fullback action, particularly from Zaccardo.
But now I'm in Edinburgh. More tomorrow.

I have tested but haven't as yet been able to come to a conclusion as to whether the rule of two still applies in 2007.
How has anyone else got on?

| This is probably a dumb question but what is the rule of two?

Playing a 4-4-1-1 with Man U, seems to be working good, got Ronaldo and Raul Garcia swapping postitions at MC and AMC, got nani for left wing and looking to sign Navas soon with a cool 45m from Chelski for Rio. Tactics are dominating at the moment, just lost, however, to Olympiakos 1-0 despite having 20 shots on goal and only seeing 5 on target |

I've only managed to play only a couple of friendlies. So I'm going comment on what i found out so far.
Target Man
Very useful as a little and large combo with delivery set to head.
Closing Down
I separated closing down into 3 sections, defense on rarely to keep shape, midfield does most of the running so their closing is set to max. Strikers should close the defense but not every time so I took a mixed closing as strikers will pick up loose balls. So far haven't conceded hope it continues.
Picking a danger man off with opposition instructions also works a treat.
Thats all for now, this demo has inspired me to contribute more to the forum.

Sounds good Abramovic
I have started a game up at Arsenal so i can alternate between two different contrasts(Swindon-Arsenal)
Going for a 4-1-3-2 with Arsenal
I always seem to stutter when it comes to picking Henry's instructions?
Any help?

Im currently experimenting with this formation. Putting those wingers there is the only way to really have them be and stay up front and wide. Having them in AM R/L with farrows means they drop as deep as the central midfield pair and with Lampard then joining Sheva up front, its in fact a 4-4-2...
Not what Im after, I want wide play and I want 4-3-3 |

I never got a problem with midfielders and fullbacks failing to muck in with goals, either. All of my Pro Vercelli midfielders in FM06 regularly get forward and score, with a bog standard 442.
Demo plays nicely at first glance, passing looks a heck of a lot better. My first port of call with the full game will be to revisit the Belarusian 2nd tier or Serie C2 and get some serious negativity going, I think. 1-4-1-3-1 I think. Yum.
I'm also dying to see whether I can finally get the Glerean 3-3-4 to work, now that back 3s seem a little more stable.
| Assuming that is, in part, a response to my queries, I think that 06 was good in terms of spreading the goals around. However, the FCs still got too many on average. I agree the 'superkeeper' is a myth par exellence.
