Justified just a tip,not sure if will work
But firstly what is Pennants crossing stats?
I'd recomend in your 4-2-3-1 to try and keep him deep and whip them balls from deep across the face of goal.Could prove to be succesful:thup:

| Pennant works well in the 4-4-2 but not in the 4-2-3-1. I can't really think of the reason but it seems most of the play in the 4-2-3-1 goes through the striker and supporting midfielder. Gerrards crosses as a AMR have been superb and Kewells link-up play with Crouch has seen a lot of one-touch footie. Wouldn't change it now |

Sorry for second post
Just had my first hiccup
My swindon side dominated play with 60 possesion, limiting the opposition to one shot on goal.
My team attempted 8 shots not one on target. They were clear cut misses.

I think it is because of the insufficient space.Think about it,when you are playign AMR you are on the toes of the defender.
And it's hard to create space and whip them balls in.
I agrre by not changing your winning ways but try something like a barrow to the MR spot on Penant and him crossing from deep.See what the game throws up |

tbh Pennant isn't that good. As I said further up, he's a backup player at best. In my 06 save I got Simao in a right wing and he was absolutely superb. Hopefully he's as good in Fm07 |

Oh yeah, against Chelsea in the community shield I was hit heavily by injuries. Carra, Hyypia and Alonso all out injured so I had to play Gerrard at DMC and Garcia at AMC. I was almost considering to play this way all season because they were superb in midfield together.

Simao is a good player.
I think your underestimating Pennant, just glanced at his stats from a FM06 perspective nothing special.Wouldnt walk into many prem squads. From a FM2007 perspective some good stats.
Diry Kuyt seems a great team player from his stats can confidently run, pass finish.
His long shots and passing seem abit low, great mental attributes.

Kuyt does hassle the opposition defenders into passing long. That's great. But he does not score goals for me tbh. Crouch, now there's a goalscorer He's scored quite a few for me but Bellamy has been best so far, quicker then most defenders and finishes better then he does IRL tbh.

Although i have just defeated Brentford 1-0 in the Cup froma set piece!.
I am peeved with my teams lack of finishing in front of goal.Seemed to only win 1-0.
Have kept 5 cleans sheets so far |
