Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Three centre man, three centre man with sarrows, or two advanced wingers with a vertical arrow, or two advanced wingers with a diagonal arrow? :p </BLOCKQUOTE> </BLOCKQUOTE>

Im playing with Chelsea and am also using a 4-3-3. Flat midfield no sarrows, flat strikefore with sarrows. Im using Robben, Shevchenko, Drogba and Villa for it (though Drogba is injured for two months, but Im looking in buying Navas). All three front men are set to swap position with eachother.

Also playing 3 FC's, with sarrows, but with a triangle in midfield (MC-DMC-MC) and farrows on the full backs. Since I've switched to this system, results have gone up. Just trashed Arsenal 4-0

Anyone know how to stop your defenders shitting themselves on the ball?

Yeah me too, I'm still getting my backfour of Flamini, Gallas, Toure and Eboue to be defensively sound. Right after I lost to Aston Villa 3-0, I exited feeling real frustrated.

Damn. Maybe I'll start again tommorow. Here's my defensive instructions, maybe someone would provide some help?

I had deep defensive line with attacking mentality, no tight marking and zonal.

CB - Closing down rarely, Ultra defensive, Little CF.

Fullbacks - Closing down mixed, Normal, Little CF.

I've tried reducing those, didn't work, also, my defenders always give away possesion even on short passing.

Also, even with a quick tempo, Gilberto/Fabregas always lose it in midfield.

I've found that using the 'set to' option on the tactics screen for the relevant players will give a solid enough unit. You need to win the game in the midfield with a DM to solidify your defence.

As your on a attacking mentality and playing a deep defensive line, I think your concending goals because of the gap between your defense and your midfield, so maybe push up the defensive line and see if that helps

Quick tempo will rush the players and not give them time on the ball

I recomend adopting a more slower approach

Ud is suicidal IMO

If you want a well organised defence try the same mentality on defence maybe 8?

I'd suggest 8 on CB'S and 10 on FB'S
