Currently my tactic is proving massive successful and popular Thread HERE.

However I'm the first to admit I havn't quite got the hang of set-peices in this version of the game. Scoring from them isn't so much the problem as defending them, so I'm hoping we can use this thread to discuss the best set-ups for set-peices and hopefully experiment with others ideas.

So any tips from those hat have looked more deeply into this area of the game?

for some reason the default corner defensive set-up has both centre backs marking the tall player.

first thing I do is make one mark the tall player and the other (usually the faster) marking the small player. I bring everyone back apart from my one striker and put all in man marking instead of just "come back".

like you say, the attacking set ups are not so tough to solve, I have consistent success from corners using various different methods.

the defensive set up is much harder, but one has to realise that no matter what one does, you are bound to concede some goals from free kicks and corners. defend en masse is my motto.

for attacking corners i take all my largest and best headers and tell them all to attackt he back post where i have my smaller more skillfull players waiting, we usually win the header and if its saved get the rebound! its not all conquering but its better than the automatic stuff!

to defend i have everyone back except my fastest and creative midfielder and strongest forward, so they can start counter attacks!
