Hi. firstly this is not a tactical issue but i thought id get a decent answer logging my query here....
i am fairly new to FM. i keep reading everywhere about known issues and bugs which exist, and i am wondering if the issue i have is down to one....
I am in my 2nd season as Newcastle manager. my first season was pretty mediocre, finishing 9th, LC runners up, FAC 5th round. the board said they were satisfied. start of season 2 ive stated my ambition as euro qualification via the league. i went out in the opening game of the LC to a League 1 side after playing a reserve side. 24 games in i am top of the league by 5 points, unbeaten in 13 games and still in the FAC. however my board are repeatedly stating they i should be performing better and theyre not happy with whats happening on the pitch.
is this down to a bug/glitch? or could it be down to the fact i went out to a league 1 side in the league cup? or some other issue? any ideas on how to win the gits round would be greatly appreciated! thanks :o)

I've installed the new patch but I've not noticed any change?

Difficult for me to judge because I installed the patch in the off season.
