You will have to start over again with any team eh ?

But its your choice... Another player would liven up this topic though.

I'll get right on it as soon as the official game is released. How are Paul Evans, Paul Smith and Grant Holt on your game? And is Commons as impressive as he was on last years game?

Well i played a few matches and almost forgot ice-hockey training so i might get addicted

First; Staff
I forgot to tell that besides the new players i attracted i also got a lot of new staff.

Scouts: Attracted to new scouts and sacked the old one.

Coaches: Got 9 coaches now (two of them are GK trainers might fire one of them to save costs)

Psycho: forest had a good one so i kept that one and didnt get any new ones.

Assistant Manager: Couldnt find a good one for a long time. But i finally have one after 5 matches into the season.

Second; The results

I will set the Results just as in FM2007:

2:1 Brighton A; Very Very lucky win, we didnt earn it (got N. Tyson out for 1 to 2 months.
2:0 Yeovil A; Easy victory
2:2 Doncaster H; We played fabulous, 37m i got a red card and still we dominated the play until the last 10 mins where we concealed 2 goals (one in the 94 min)
0:0 Bentford H; We should have won this match, more possesion and a damn lot of shots on the goal.
0:1 Blackpool H; Could have gone both ways, lost to a penalty in the 2nd minute.

Third; Team

Well the team is doing quite find i think only problem is that from the 6 scored goals only 1 was made by a ST. So it seems we are in need an other ST (maybe when Tyson is fit). Or i should reconsider the 4-4-2 tactic.
Anyways i dropped my interest in Hayes from barnsley cuz he is way to expensive and doesnt seem to improve according to my scouts. Maybe i need some good new MC to keep a little more control on the mid field. Di Biagio should be able to fill that job though when he is back in like 2 to 3 months.

Well i didnt see Paul Evans????. But Paul Smith is a GREAT goaly. Also Grant Holt seems a very nice ST, one of his favourit moves is to irritate the opposition

hmm couldnt added my post

It is pretty cool that i could respond in the media to the penalty we got against us when playing Blackpool. Everyone found it was an incorrect decision from the referree which it was. Really cool!

oh and Trickies yes Commons is nice my #1 choice for AML/ML

Match Report
Rotherham 1-0 Nottm Forest

A game we could've won or drawn. Just a bit unlucky. We need to get to winning ways and get a run together!
It was our first loss in 6 games.

Meanwhile Nathan Tyson promised me to end his goal drought, lets hope he does!

Match Report
Nottm Forest 3-0 Northampton
Aliou Cissé 30"
Kris Commons 84"
Kevin James 89"

A game that saw us defeat a weak Northampton side. Captain Aliou Cissé opened up the scoring with a fine header assisted by Kris Commons. Kris Commons also was the man of the second goal, he scored a long range effort. And as i was retraining Kevin James due to alot of injuries in the attacking department i decided to put him on in the striker role... Looks like it payed off! David Martin kept a great clean sheet, he had his work cut out.
A great team effort that makes us move up to 8th position.

I was 3rd placed in Manager Of The Month September.
Kris Commons' long range goal was good for a third place in the Goal Of The Month award.

Well as earlier said i though i might change to a different system. The 4-4-2 was simply not making me any goals.

So from now on i played all my matches in a 3-5-2 system. Where i have moved the ML to the AML spot as we already have 5 midfields. Allthough this seems like a weird choice since forest doesnt have that good MC it is for me way better then then 4-4-2.

Scores
1:1 Swansea A; nothing wrong with this
1:0 S****horpe H; We hit on a counter though we where dominating the game
0:1 Crewe H; A personal error from Smith, to bad a draw would have been better seeing the game.
1:1 Bournemouth A; Again a personal error which costed us a goal.
2:0 Chesterfield A; Finally some scoring it took lots and lots of chances.
2:0 Huddersfield H; Nathen Tyson is finally recoverd from some injury. And scores 2 goals.
0:3 Rotherham A; In a split second we look against a 0:3 score. I guess i should have switched tactics after the 1st goal.
0:0 Northampton H; A shame we brought such a bad match infront of our own public.
2:1 Leyton Orient A; A HUGE error by Smith and we are at 0:1. Luckyly we get it to a deserved victory.
3:0 Bristol City H; Dont know what happend here the former number one we beat with ease. Really nice to see my team make nice combinations and score without the opponent making an error.

After all the matches we are still heading for the first place. With 26 points from 14 matches we are in 2nd position with 3 goals behind millwall who also have 26 points. Behind us Bristol City with 25 points and then a few clubs with 24 points.

I feel we are heading the right way, still looking for good ST and now with the new system a good AM/F C, currently Matt Jansen is doing this job great. Also some AML would be great to have too.
