Default Who To Buy? The Greenock Morton edition

I'm Morton in the Scottish Division 1, and I've been stuck in the same division for four seasons now. I have 150k to spend and due to the fact that only one get promoted to the premiership its very important that I spend it wisely.

The wage per week I can offer at the most is £1,500.

Obviously I can't attract big time players or wonderkids or people like that, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any great players that you can buy for lower league clubs that will come?

try and loan some potential stars from the SPL, you'll usually get 'em unless you're trying to attract an old firm reserve.

I did get a great central midfielder called Gregor Klajderic from some Eastern European team, and he has worked out well.

Relevant to what you said, I signed a potential SPL star in Jeroen Van Den Broeck who is from the Rangers youth squad. But he never worked out very well. Gets 10 goals a season as a regular starter. Not good enough.

Know any specific names of players that are willing to go to a very lowly club but are still superb?

Try and get Moses Ashikodi on loan
on occasion, Chris Killen's in the Hibs reserves if they loan people in, try him
Branamir Kosstadinov - Hearts reserves/ maybe under 18s
Rhoys Wiggins - Crystal palace reserves

just look in reserve squads and give everyone a go
