The World Cup Final - Final Score
England 3-1 Brazil
Forget the heroes of '66, we have a new bunch of legends! This was a quality game, it had me on the edge of seat, commentating with a John Motson accent whilst listening to Its Coming Home by Baddiel & Skinner.
It was a good start by England, dominating the game and putting the Brazilians on the backfoot. The boys with the samba beat were limited to small scale counter attacks, but the defence just wouldnt let them past, and Paul Robinson wasnt going to concede a 30 yarder today! Rooney put England ahead on 34 minutes, after some neat play by Gerrard - setting up Owen whos shoot cannoned off the keeper to Rooney, who then had an open net to put the ball in.
Brazil tried as hard as they could to get an equaliser, keeping most of the possesion and biting away at the England backline, but Robinson just wouldnt let anything past him. Eventually though a missed interception by Ferdinand led to Fred tapping in past a bewildered Robinson.
England then tweaked their tactics and hit back, containing Brazil in their own penalty area. The hard work paid off at 89 minutes when Rooney broke free again to place the ball in the net. More was to come as Man of the Match Steven Gerrard delivered a late corner to Ferdinand at the back post, who made up for his error before by nodding past Grohe. Cant decide whether I want to leave England or not now, I didnt think I'd get this far lol.

Just took over Steve McClaren after England did like dog poo in euro 2008. Have won all my WCQ so far.
My current squad - First teamer, (1st choice substitue)
GK: Paul Robinson, (Chris Kirkland)
DR: Micah Richards (Jamie Carragher)
DC: John Terry (Ledley King)
DC: Rio Ferdinand (Michael Dawson)
DL Ashley Cole (Wayne Bridge)
MR: Aaron Lennon (David Beckham)
ML: Stewart Downing (Joe Cole)
MC: Frank Lampard (Owen Hargreaves)
MC: Steven Gerrard (Michael Carrick)
FC: Wayne Rooney (Andrew Johnson)
FC: Michael Owen (Jermain Defoe)
Anyone got any suggestions on better first teamers or substitutes? Cause I am curious about the likes of Baines, Woodgate, SWP, etc and whether if they should be first choice sub instead. Hm.

| Well played Sheps. You should leave England, and go to Mexico or Brazil, they are the two jobs I want |

I have Baines as my 2nd choice DL after Cole. I also have SWP in mine, who's 2nd choice after Walcott.
Much of my squad is similar, but I have Kirkland as no.1 GK. I play Beckham at MCa, and Gerrard MCd.
How about Taylor for a DC? He's one of mine. I only usually have 4 STs - Smithy and Crouch as the TM and Rooney and Owen as the quick STs. Shep: Was Jo playing for Brazil? I suspect not |

As for Taylor, he's really impressed me with his performances in the World Cup, he was really solid and made no mistakes. He's now one of my targets for Man Utd Taylor and Pique would just be
