I have a good blackpool squad, its february 2010, finances are okay, ive got a 12k seater stadiumbut just cannot perform well enough to get the crowds, im averaging 6.5k per home match, and obviously cant get enough money through the club to improve.
My players are top class, recently signed 3 18-20 year old's on free transfers, all worth like 500k-1mill each. I need help on my tactics.
I've been playing a 5-3-2 using 3 centre-mid's and 2 wing-backs/side-backs who sit back in defense and can push forward to wing back positions on the attack. I play a generally defensive attitude and counter-attacking. Tempo is set pretty high, direct passes, closing down more over the whole pitch, with tight marking enabled. My defensive line is a bit more deep than normal. I've got the players, why cant i win matches?!!!
I'm new to football management games can anyone offer tips on training or tactics please would really appreciate any tips. I've been avoiding relegation barely since i started managing the club. Thanks in advance all
I havent currently set any individual tactics for individual players, i wouldn't really know where to start. Angel, Saez, and Pauw are all really young, got on free transfers and were worth like 1mill each but now not so much cos we're rubbish! Hindmarch is quality, top scorer, plays for england under 21's first team regular, bought for 9k now worth 220k after 2 seasons should be worth more if i could get more victories.
Also, scribe is a good player, not happy at club again because of poor performances. If i get relegated im gna get sacked and dangerously close unless something changes soon... help!
Take time wasting to rarely. Tempo in the middle. Tad lower maybe.
And change your settings for corners.
Get your best corner taker taking them.
Aim for - yard box
Best header - Challenge GK
2nd best header - attack near post
Player with best anticipation and finishing - stand on far post.
Best long shots - edge of area.
Get the rest of your players outside of the penatly area.
If you'd like, I can upload my tactic I've used to win the prem with Watford, and do well with a load of other teams also. Just tell me if you require it and I'll upload it for ya.
thanks for the help stoke, i'll add those tactics definately, set pieces are not our strong point at the minute, so many wasted corners! I'll let you know how i get on.
Yeah chris that'd be brilliant mate, any tactics are welcome, need to get out of this ruck!
in opposition instructions before each match i set closing down and tight marking on both forwards and on the wingers if they are 4-4-2, and set closing down on their centre-mids. is this too much info for my team or not enough?
