Say you are playing with a flat back 4 in defence,do find using wingbacks or left/right defenders have influence on the way your team attacks,what i mean is when watching a game i find that using wingbacks often move and down the flanks to back-up in attack even if no direction arrow is used where DR or DL tend to stay in the flat 4 formation.

not sure if this has been built into the wingback role as a natural way for him to play during a game but has anyone else noticed this???

Whether they bomb up the field should depend on their mentality settings, "run with ball" slider, and "forward runs" slider. If I want conservative fullbacks I tend to put them on the same defensive settings as my DCs. I think wingbacks will be better for sweeper formations where the fullbacks play as both defenders and wingers.
