I love this forum, but because I'm (very) lazy I hate reading long threads, so I'm going to keep this short and sweet.

Would a player having a high but unfulfilled potential ability make them a better player than a 'maxed out' potential ability player with an equilvalent current ability ?

I mean, would a player with three star current ability and five star potential play better than a three star current ability player with three star potential ?

Surely current ability is exactly that, likewise potential ability.

yeah I understand the theory; but my young stars of the future always do a lot better than the squad players I have with the same CA.

Just wondering if their was a reason for it, or just the youngsters trying harder.
