Hi, I've just downloaded the Free Transfer Database which I've saved to the db folder. But when i go to start a New Game the database doesn't seem to be on the drop down list, any idea?

You moved it to the my docs/sports interactive/db folder or the folder in the prog files?

Just a thought, not sure if makes a diff as never download seperate ones myself.

The db folder, is that wrong?

IIRC any updates need to be saved in the SI folder found in 'My Documents'

That's where I've put it: Sports Interactive/2008/db

Im pretty sure it needs to go in your 'user data folder' section.

If you haven't done so already, you will need to create this in your my documents area.

CDocuments and Settings\USERNAME\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008

Add a new folder in there called whatever you wish and assign this folder in your preferences on FM.

FM will automatically add new folders to that area and there should be a db folder in there which you can drop your database into.
