Well I just bought FM 2008 and I tried to intall it..
I inserted the cd and the installation began. But suddenly the installation stopped and a message appeared. This Message was telling me that the appearance of my Windows needds to change from Aero To Windows Vista Basic...Windows autochange it and the installation continues...
When the installation completes the game starts with no problem until i reach the mainscreen..
I choose of course new game and i make my settings. Then I select confirm but when the new game begins to load an error appears and tells me that football manager needs to be closed and the game closes...
Please Help Me

Also not helpful to start multiple posts o9n same subject, but as for your error, I have that occasionally when offering players contracts, but never seems to cause any further problem.

Sorry, just checked it out myself, seems you shoud run regedit and look up:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE,
then SOFTWARE,
then Sports Interactive Ltd,
then Installs,
then delete the Football Manager 2008 folder.
