Done all the above and works great for me so many thanks to all who contributed.

Is there a way the same kind of techniques can be applied to the staff view page to autosort by their job as default?

Neil Studd, is there any chance you can put the xml file up for download (sorting by selection then position) just to make sure we have got it right?

I would second what Vicar says and I believe many others would like this as well. I'm also still waiting to hear from anybody who may be able to help with sorting the staff by position/job as well.

Anyone found anything yet on either arranging staff view by job as a default.

I'm also looking for code for sort by squad number
