I've got a wierd problem, it seems. Any fron that is a true type one, I cant change to .t2k

The file name changes, but it stays a true type font, and they dont seem to work with some skins.

Anyway around this?

You don't really need to change them to .t2k. FM loads ttf's ok.

I have heard that sometimes there can be a problem with fonts not appearing. I've not seen it myself but apparently you need to have the font installed in the windows font folder too or something like that. Not sure tbh.

Didn't work for me.

Should I rename the ttf file, or alter the XMl in some way?

you can leave the extension the same (ie .ttf) but obviously the name of the font needs to be the same as the font you are replacing.

eg if you are replacing the main font (fm main.t2k) then you need to delete it (back it up first) and then rename your .ttf to 'fm main.ttf'.

Also, when you say 'don't seem to work on some skins' do those skins already have their own changed fonts?

If a skin does have its own fonts then they overwrite any changes you make to the fonts directory in the main data folder.

You would need to do the same changes in the 'fonts' folder of any skin that has its own.

Basically, I want to change the font in Andersson's Elegance skin, and the name of the font in the skin's font file is "erasdemi.t2k".

I take my font and change the name to that, then when I load up the skin it doesnt display. The wierdest thing is that it used to be the case that when I changed a .ttf to a .t2k, the file type would change. Now, it still says true type font underneath.
