yeah I'd love to change the default font in my game to GEORGIA Font from mywindows directory !

I was thinking this as well, i downloaded the Stone skin, now i dont like the layout and colours of the skin but i do like the Font, was hoping i could just use the font on the original Metallic (Right) Skin.

Ter or anybody care to put us out of our misery??


(oh, and for thickheads like me, can you please include step by step instructions, thanks !! lol)

if you look in the main data directory the you will notice there is a fonts folder. In there there are 3 fonts. They are not regular font files but T2K or something. Anyway, delete fm main.t2k (for gods sake back it up first), put your wanted font into the directory and rename it fm main. You actually do not need to change the type to t2k either, leaving it as ttf works. This will apply it to all skins unless they themseves have their own fonts folder bundled with the skin.

To add new fonts to a particular skin, add a folder called 'fonts' in the skin's root directory (same place there are 'graphics' 'panels' etc folders). Add the fonts to that folder. Obviously if a skin already has a 'fonts' folder then replace the font's with the ones you want. Also if a skin has a fonts folder of its own this overwrites the main folder in the data directory.

Note that due to the sizes of fonts being different even if they are the same point value, some things might not fit right in skins when you change the font.

OK I'll go through it step by step.

Get the font you want (lets call it cheese.ttf)

There are now two options:

1:

a .Look in the main directory for 'data\fonts\', paste cheese.ttf into that folder.
b. Backup 'fm main.t2k' that is in that folder (move it to another folder, alter its name slightly, whatever).
c. Rename 'cheese.ttf' to 'fm main.ttf'

This will apply 'cheese.ttf' to be the main font for ALL skins (unless a skin has a fonts folder of its own).

2:

a. Look in the root directory of any skin (ie data\skins\skinname\)
b. If there is a folder called 'fonts' add cheese.ttf to it, delete what appears to be the main font in the folde, and rename cheese.ttf to whatever it was called.
c. if there is no font folder then create one, add cheese.ttf to it, then rename cheese.ttf to fm main.ttf

This will apply 'cheese.ttf' to be the main font for that particular skin.

Anyone know if the font from the Stone skin works with either the SI Metallic right skin or the Elegance skin?

I couldnt get it to work, found the SI font to remove but was unable to get the new font working. When i download the Stone skin it comes with 2 font files, which one do i use?
