is there a way to delete the hall of fame? i wanted to get rid of all the user entries and keep the default ones.

The Hall of Fame file is (typically) in CDocuments and Settings\All Users\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2005 - make a backup and delete the file, see what happens?

I also want to know this.

Uninstalling the game, removing the entire savefolder, scanning the registry for football manager and deleting those entries all dont work. Somehow, the hall of fame stays untouched.

Where is it hidden?
