Hi, remember the patch that nobody could do or get to work, where everyone is on a free, well on my travels i came across Cmfrenzy and they have a working one, but their bandwidth is exeeded, any ideas on how we could get the file?

They might be able to e-mail it to you if you have a Gmail account or something (IIRC there is no limit on incoming files but a 10Mb limit on outgoing files), you'd need to check it out.

If anyone out there has the db, I'll be more than happy to host it at one of my domains (dan-atkinson.com or danatkinson.org).

IT DOES NOT WORK.

they released it without testing, it crashes to desktop at creating database stage, just as everyone else.

When I visited there forums to see what the score was, everyone who posted said it didn't work.

There were also mods mentioning using a CD cr**k to get it to work for some reason, took the mick a bit i thought.

by the way, my mate tried with cd cr**k, crashes.

I have tried everything I can think of, I have released all players, released all except 1 player for each team, it doesn't work

I think it's suffice to say that the all players for free db will not work in FM 2005 while there is a buggy editor/database. Clearly there are too many problems with it and the game cannot handle it. There is at least one project I am aware of regarding a third party pregame editor. There are links (mainly through the FM Database Objects blog).

Until then, we can only hope that SI decide to fix this for FM 06.
