well basically the problem i have is that when i chose a new game, i CAN choose which database to use. and once that it loads, i can choose which nations to play with, database size etc.

after i go ahead from this point the game will begin to load up but about a minute later loading will stop and all of a sudden the screen will "peel down" and i end up at my desktop with the FM08 program being closed.

any ideas?

oh i forgot to mention that this only happens when i choose a custom database, not the default one. with the default database, the game loads and works fine.

Hi I have the same sort of problem but I don't know where or how to select my edited database for a new game. It always just starts with the default database
all i want is to use the new database!
please could you help me

well when you click new game, the next screen asks you to choose the database which you want to use.

then it will load the database, which then leads you to choose nations, preferences etc.
