I have created a new player with the FM 2008 Data Editor. I've put the CA at 165 and PA at 200 and several abilities on 20. However, when I load the game and play, the player I created never reaches 20 on most abilities, though I've set it so in the data editor. Does anyone know why this happens, and how I can make sure the player I created will reach 20 on the abilities I set it in the data editor?

The players attributes will reset to match is CA- given that a world class player will not have many 20 attributes, you will need to put the CA up to max to get anywhere near 20 attributes in the important areas.

MMM this might sound pretty stupid,but what's the FM 2008 Data Editor? Is it the in game editor? if so, how can you create players? Thanks in advance

Yes it's the editor that comes with the game. You can create a new player from the Edit menu, I think...
