How do i do this?

I'm managing Vauxhall, who aren't all there when it comes to footballing skills, often, the DCs will get the ball in the box, and stand there for a fair while before eventually making a pass or an aweful clearance, or, as is most often the case, giving it to the opposition, who go on to score.

I have set their passing to Long, but this doesn't seem to be working. Any other instructions i should tweak so they act quicker?

What Tempo and Passing styles do you play?

Try putting the wingbacks to direct passing
and the DC's to mixed/Direct, and both positions with Quick Tempo so they get rid of the ball upfield and quickly, but they don't resort to just hoofing it up field(longball)
