Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Injuries

How can I prevent my side from getting injured so regularly. Injuries happen every week for me and it always seems to be 1 or 2 week injuries. I have a medium workload on all players but I keep getting injuries by the bucket load. Duff gets in injured then comes back and is then lead off for another 2 months, its a bit ridiculous. Any suggestions.

I think in fm07 they tried to make it more realistic. meaning someone who jus returned from injury (and back to 100%) still shudnt play instantly in the first team. i have observed this, and in most cases the person gets "re-injured" very easily. Now, especially if the person isn't "fit", this is most likely the case as people injured for long time come back as lacking match fitness. I suggest u put them in reserve using the option "until fit again".

Also note the players tackling method and closing down, this can cause more injuries i believe depending on tackling is easy, normal, heavy. Im not sure, but i think aggression and closing down can increase risk of injuries.

I left duff in the reserves for 3 weeks and he wasn't still match fit so I played him in some matches for less than 10 mins and he was still picking up knocks, maybe your right.

im very certain the stat for tackling and aggression, and the setting u put for closing down affects how many injuries u get.

Try this; put a low tackle forward player (AMC for example) on max closing down, and "normal" tackling. Watch how fast he gets injured compared to using "easy tackling".

things like closing down should not have such an effect on injuries. Some people set up custom settings and might be put off by something like this. I think its a problem that needs fixed.

Closing down has a major impact on injuries, depending on how agressive your tactic is. If you are asking too much of an individual then you risk more injuries.
