I try to change the "back if needed" defender to "stay back", because this guy often likes to go forward and stand in front of the lurking player, thus drawing 1 or 2 markers close to him. But 50% of the time he doesnt listen to my instructions

Any ideas why?

I've actually scored a good amount of setpiece goals using the default instructions. It seems that a good corner taker is much more important now

This failed. As you can see, it has 3 players on the far post seems like setting 3 players on the same thing causes the playes to ignore your settings. Very poor SI imo. You can set someone to short option, but this can (obviously) make the corner take play it short, and ruin the corner.

So you can probably set one of the "st far" to "challange keeper", and make the corner take also set to challange keeper (which he won't do since he's taking the corner, hopefully stopping the game from ignoring your instructions). The other options could be "attack xxxx post", but I'm not a fan, I've never really understood what these do, players set to this tend to hang about in the 6 yard box and stand there.

I will test this 3rd keeper see what it does..

This was a new way, it had some players free, but I guess the near post flick players meant there was no real free player to hit.

Trying with "attack far post" on the flickers.
