Hi, I'm somewhat new both to FM and to this forum.

I only started playing this year, and that was using CM 03/04 in Indonesia, playing a hot-seat game using the serie A. I got hooked, and got the newer versions. I haven't played fm 05 much, but I have played fm 06 and recently fm 07.

I have used the same tactic (with a small change to take into account the new features offered by each version of the game) for the whole time I have played the game. It has never failed to give me success on all versions (Most notably with Barca and Fiorentina on fm 06 and with Juventus and Inter on FM 2007). I never change tactic whether playing homw or away, unless I have to accomodate an injury/suspension problem (ie I use this tactic for 95% of matches). I also only use real players (no created wonderkids, fun as they can be). The problem I have is that I am worried that I might be exploiting a bug in the game (given how many posts I have read describing tactical problems, I reckon it is extremely unlikely that the same tactic can work for different versions of the game and be consistenyl successful), and so could be ruining my playing time. I would appreciate it if someone could try using this tactic, and telling me if it works legitimately, or if it is a bug.

The players are all set to the presets for their appropriate positions ie

Gk= preset Goalkeeper, DR and DL are set to Full-back, MC= Defensive midfielder, MR and ML to Wingers, AMC to Attacking Midfielder and FCs to Strikers.

I only buy players who are suited (in my mind) to those positions, ie, no matter how good smne is, I won't buy them if they don't fit in. I also tend to buy exact (or clos to) replacements, as if it ain't broke...

I look forward to hearing some feedback. If this is a bug (as I am suspecting), then I think it needs to be fixed, as in every version it has succeeded.

1. Lets all assume noone knows about the bug u are talking about.

2. So that we can all understand this so called bug. why don't you tell us what happens

3. Since we have no idea what happens it will only help us further if you posted a pkm.

basically this tactic seems to work every time I use it. The only matches I have lost on FM (all versions played) were ones where I had an injury problem that prevented me from using it, or where I went on holiday. I personally think that it must be due to a problem in the game, as the AI should be able to adapt to it and stop it from being effective (as has happened when I use different tactics).
