I don't see a problem, because i have played 30 odd games with arsenal and haven't lost yet an drawn about 8. scored 100 plus goals an conceded around 25. and i play the standard 4-4-2

I think constant evolution and no revolution is the answer.

I just won a game 2-0 where I changed my usual 3-3-2-2 (the formation England played against Croatia, but better in my case) to 3-2-2-1-2 (i.e. swapped my DMC for AMC) as I was playing against someone quite defensive.

Fo`shizzle you don`t have to change the whole formation in order to mislead the opponent team. Just change your tactics!

If you start every game as 442, then change at half time to 352, I presume your starting formation becomes your "regular" one?

That means you can choose a stock 451 formation, or even a 811 formation or whatever, and simply change your formation 1 minute into the game - which is what I do anyway, although stupidly, I've not been doing it with formation changes, just tactics changes - and bingo! They should be screwed!

I'll have a bit of an experiment with this and see what happens!

I think I got this one by accident too. Spent the first half of the season using a 4-4-2 with farrowed wingers, then switched after Xmas to 4-3-2-1. Got called "the Tinkerman" in a press report shortly afterwards. Hehe. :cool:
