I am currently in my first season with West Ham but seem to have a problem with injuries. I have five 1st team players out with a torn calf muscle! I haven't changed any training schedules so they are all on the default settings. Is this coincidence or something to do with my training regime? Any ideas?
it happens to me at the start of the season, but cools down after that. Not much you can do, usually lowering intensity in training is the answer, but if i was you i'd just sell the game.
Look at your training schedules and reduce the intensity a little. High on strenght and aerobic in pre-season then reduce these as the season progresses. Look at your coaches and particularly the fitness coach and make sure he has a fitness attribute of at least 18. Go to the coaches assignment screen and uncheck auto assign. Then allocate your coaches manaually and you will see what a difference that makes to the effectiveness of the schedules. Dont play players with a condition % much below 95. Substitute any player who is below about 68% condition. Look at your player's tackling instruction and reduce it to easy for your forwards and normal for the defence. Look at your tactics and avoid high closing down, especially for your forwards.
There is no single way of reducing injuries but doing this will undoubtedly help.

Think the bit about the tackling is good advic - cheers! I've currently got all my tackling on hard and the injuries are predominantly to my forwards so hopefully that'll help.
